On October 20, 2017, 73-years anniversary of the “Belgrade Offensive” (liberation of Belgrade in the course of WWII), was commemorated by the state ceremony, including laying wreaths at the Memorial Cemetery of Belgrade Liberators.

On October 20, 2017, 82nd anniversary from death of General Miloš Vasić, Minister of Army and Navy, military educator and strategist, credited for introducing the rank „Vojvoda“ (Field Marshal) within the Serbian Armed Forces ranks,, was commemorated at the New Cemetery of Belgrade. 102-years anniversary form the commencement of heroic Belgrade defense during the WWI was commemorated in Belgrade on October 7, 2017. This significant date was commemorated by laying wreaths at the Serbian Ossuary of Belgrade Defenders (1915) and final resting place of the Colonel Dragutin Gavrilović at the New Cemetery of Belgrade.
