The official presentation of the Application “Zvezdara on the Palm of Your Hand”, designed for the purpose of promoting culture, heritage and quality of life, was held on December 13, 2018 at the grand hall of the Zvezdara Municipality.
Inspired by the needs of the citizens of this municipality and numerous visitors, the Application included cultural and historic monuments, Open Air Museum – New Cemetery, but also the hospitality establishments, which are completing the cultural and tourist map of the Municipality.
For each entry, whether it is the cultural monument, institution or commercial facility, the Application provides detailed description, contact data and interactive map, which enables determining of the shortest route to the desired destination. The Application „Zvezdara on the Palm of Your Hand”, also offers the option “News”, in order to provide timely and accurate information on the cultural events in this part of our Capital, to the citizens of Zvezdara and their international guests. Bearing in mind the significant number of international guests of Belgrade and by extension Zvezdara, the Application has Serbian and English language options.
In the course of the presentation, the short addresses were given by the President of the City Municipality of Zvezdara Miloš Ignjatović, Head of „Vuk Karadžić” Public Library Aleksandra Kekić Đokić and Head of Social Affairs Department Vesna Petrović Urošević, whereas the Application funded from the Zvezdara City Municipality cultural budget was presented by the author, Ema Orlić of the non-governmental organization „Alternative Opportunity”.
The Application is currently in the phase of data entry and amending, whereas it may be downloaded it free of charge from the Google Store.
