The New Cemetery of Belgrade will once more participate in the cultural event „European Heritage Days”, which will take place from September 15 to October 2, 2017. Thanks to numerous memorials, architectural complexes, sculptures and sizeable number of significant individuals buried at this area, the New Cemetery of Belgrade constitutes a unique „Open-air museum”. The visitors will be able to learn about the New Cemetery of Belgrade as a place where our material and non-material heritage meet and interconnect. The story of the its foundation and the beginnings, in addition to the significant and less-known persons buried at the cemetery, will shed a light to the New Cemetery as our largest open-air gallery and exceptional park area. The New Cemetery of Belgrade opens its gates to the visitors in terms of three interesting tours.

– Heroes and heroines of the Great Wars – September 24, 2017.
– Great People of Goodwill – remembering significant philanthropists, benefactors and humanitarians – October 1, 2017.
