Actor Miodrag Mrgud Radovanovć – laid to rest at the Alley of Meritorious Citizens (New Cemetery of Belgrade)

On January 22, 2019, actor Miodrag Mrgud Radovanović, who passed away on January 15, 2019 at the age of 89, was laid to rest at the Alley of Meritorious Citizens. The great actor was accompanied to his final resting place by his family, fellow-actors, friends, admirers and citizens of Belgrade.

Remembering the legendary Serbian WWI military commanders – commemorating anniversaries death of Field Marshal Živojin Mišić, Field Marshal Petar Bojović and General Pavle Jurišić Šturm

Each January 20th, the state ceremony of paying respects and laying wreaths to commemorate the anniversaries of passing of the great Serbian WWI military commanders, Filed Marshal Živojin Mišić, Field Marshal Petar Bojović and General Pavle Jurišić – Šturm is held at the New Cemetery of Belgrade.

On January 2019, the wreaths at the final resting places of the WWI Serbian military commanders were laid by the representatives of the Ministry of Labor,

Veteran’s Day Commemorations at the New Cemetery of Belgrade – December 4, 2018

Within the Veteran’s Day related commemorative activities, the wreaths were laid to the Memorial Ossuary of Belgrade Defenders (1914-1918), and Memorial Ossuary of the Serbian Soldiers Fallen in the course of the Serbian-Turkish (1876-1878) and Serbian – Bulgarian War (1885). The wreaths were laid by the high ranking officers of the Serbian Armed Forces, representatives of Defense Ministry in addition to the representatives of the associations for fostering the traditions of Serbian liberation wars.
