IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR THE VISITORS TO THE CEMETERIES ON THE OCCASION OF THE MEMORIAL MONDAY

- Entering Cemeteries by motor vehicles is forbidden
- Secured transportation by air-conditioned vans at the cemeteries Orlovača, Lešće and Nova Bežanija
Public Utility Company “Funeral Services” appeals to the general public to use public transportation instead of the private vehicles on the occasion of the Memorial Monday, May 9, 2016.
On Monday, May 9, 2016, entering cemeteries by motor vehicles will not be allowed for all cemeteries in the period from 07:00 to 15:30 . The cemetery gates for entering by motor vehicles will be opened again from 15:30 to 19:00 hrs.
Entering by motor vehicles will not be permitted at all, for the following cemeteries: New Cemetery, Zemun and Topčider – on the occasion of the Memorial Monday (May 9, 2016).
For the less mobile burial sites visitors, as well as the senior citizens, three comfortable air-conditioned vans are secured for the purpose of visitors’ transportation (free – of – charge) at the largest urban cemeteries: Lešće, Orlovača and Nova Bežanija. Organized transportation will be carried out in the period between 07:00 to 17:00, along the route from the entrance gate to the furthest plots. In addition to the specialized vans, the visitors to the cemeteries on the occasion of the Memorial Monday will have at their disposal a number of Public Utility Company “Funeral Services” service vehicles, recognizable by the company logo and characteristic crimson color.
